Project Description

This project aims to evaluate the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Culture and Arts (2016-2025). The evaluation will assess its ongoing relevance and identify gaps and shortcomings. Following this review, a new Work Plan for the Culture and Arts Sector (post-2025) will be developed for the post-2025 period, superseding the current Strategic Plan upon its expiration. Specifically, the Project aims to:
• Conduct a comprehensive review of the Strategic Plan to assess how the Strategic Plan differed from its actual implementation;
• Learning from the implementation of the Strategic Plan and identifying the gaps, challenges and opportunities, to develop a new Work Plan that takes account of the evolving trends in the cultural landscape and priorities of the ASEAN Member States.
Two in-person workshops will be held as follows:
• One regional consultative workshop to undertake the comprehensive review of the existing Work Plan,
• One regional validation workshop to develop the proposed New Work Plan.
At the end of the development of the new Work Plan, a Policy Dialogue and Launch Event will be conducted that would serve as a mechanism to socialise the new Work Plan as well as provide evaluation to the project.
