Siem Reap, Cambodia, 13-14 February 2025 - The Socialisation Workshop on the Implementation Plan for the Framework for Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Viet Nam (CLMV) Development was successfully held on 13–14 February 2025. The project was implemented by the Ministry of Commerce Cambodia on behalf of CLMV Senior Economic Officials’ Meeting (SEOM). Supported by the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF), the workshop aimed to enhance awareness and build the capacity of officials from CLMV to ensure the effective implementation of the framework, which plays a crucial role in narrowing the development gap within ASEAN. 

The workshop gathered around 50 representatives from CLMV countries, as well as Timor-Leste, ASEAN Secretariat, and the Republic of Korea (ROK). Through knowledge-sharing sessions and interactive discussions, led by Mekong Institute. The workshop highlighted the importance of having a coordinated efforts to drive sustainable growth in the region. 

Participants actively participated in breakout discussions to exchanged best practices, experiences, and lessons learned. These discussions provided valuable insights into effective strategies for implementation, ensuring that each country's specific needs and challenges are addressed. 

This workshop also aligned with the broader goals of the ASEAN-ROK Plan of Action, reaffirming the commitment of ASEAN and ROK to enhancing regional integration, promoting economic resilience, and strengthening partnerships for sustainable development.
